Why this series still plays
A Fox clock that became catalog. Watch it when you want plot velocity as a format, not a mood — one day per season, split screens as UI — then notice how the binge era swallowed a show designed to be un-bingeable. The 2014 limited return is in the pack; the reboot talk is not a season.
Calendar first: November 6, 2001, 12:00 a.m. Fox drops a drama that pretends an episode is an hour in the world. Split screens, on-screen clock, Kiefer Sutherland as CTU inventory with a name — Jack Bauer — that behaves like a franchise SKU before the marketers finish the deck. Each season is one day. Rex will toast living-room America and the post-9/11 living room that wanted a ticking box.…

- Dennis Haysbert as David Palmer

- Kim Raver as Audrey Raines
