Why this series still plays
Watch it because Apple treated mystery-box TV like a luxury good: long gaps, Friday event energy, and a workplace so designed it became a screensaver and a nightmare. You do not binge this to finish a chore. You watch to see whether the office will let the innies keep a secret.
Severance did not win because it was weird. It won because Apple treated the weirdness like a luxury good: Friday drops, a three-year gap people complained about and then rewarded, and a workplace so designed it became wallpaper and a warning. Corporate dread as a subscription argument. Rex likes to say discovery is not culture. Tell that to a show whose hallway is more famous than half the dramas that actually explain themselves.
