Why this series still plays
Watch it if you want cape TV that the group chat litigates like a politics podcast with gore. Homelander is the main character of the replies. Spinoffs keep the universe loud. Stay for the satire even when the timeline is arguing about whether the joke went too far this week.
So about last night’s tags: someone called it too gross, someone called it too real, and someone posted a Homelander still like it was a weather report. That is the show. Prime Video’s anti-supe circus is not a secret prestige object. It is a weekly mood with blood on it. (I said spoiler-free. I lied a little about the blood.) The comics were already mean. The series made the meanness a fandom job: who is the satire for, who is the satire about, and which ship just got ratio’d by a corporate cape.
