Synopsis
Colin Gray, the father of a Georgia teenager who killed four people at his high school in 2024, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for gifting his son the assault rifle used in the deadly attack. The judge told Gray that he was negligent day after day in allowing his 14-year-old son to have access to the weapon. NBC's Aaron Gilchrist reports for TODAY. Todd Blanche's path to becoming Attorney General hit a snag after President Donald Trump threatened to withdraw his nomination after two senators delayed a crucial vote. The sticking point is that Sen. Thom Tillis and Sen. John Cornyn insist that the DOJ commit in writing to drop a nearly $2B compensation fund that could pay Trump allies. The FBI is investigating a cyberattack launched on more than 30 municipal water systems across Minnesota, with a senior law enforcement official telling NBC News it bears all the hallmarks of Iranian-backed hackers. At least 34 migrants have died trying to reach the Spanish territory of Ceuta after tens of thousands of people breached the border in Morocco. The crisis is boiling over for a second day with security forces clashing with migrants on the Moroccan side of the border. The state autopsy of the Mississippi teen found dead after a boating trip with friends is now complete and in the hands of investigators. It comes as new video surfaces appearing to show Nolan Wells at different points during the trip. A frantic search is underway for six international climbers after an avalanche struck Broad Peak in northern Pakistan. Four bodies have been recovered though their identities have not been revealed. The expedition includes American climber, Mallory Geis.
