Abbi Jacobson

Broad City is Abbi and Ilana as a two-hander that treats the city like a dare: weed, odd jobs, loyalty that does not need a will-they to land. Jacobson plays Abbi Abrams as the anxious half of the jet fuel — chaos first, shame never. Web-series energy that survived the move to Comedy Central without putting on a blazer. Guest stars as sport. Urban picaresque as a weekly form.

Broad City is 2010s television with Comedy Central manners (2014–2019). Jacobson plays Abbi Abrams as work, not merch. File s01e01 as ignition: What a Wonderful World is Abbi and Ilana, weed and hustle: web-series energy on Comedy Central, millennial buddy volume up. s02e01 is later weather: In Heat is a weather title: urban hustle still the picaresque, guest-star sport still the extra. Stay for the craft. The filing already named the set.

Female friendship is the whole engine, not a subplot the network demanded. On TV Flash Jacobson is 2010s catalog craft with the volume up: millennial buddy comedy that refused to become a lecture about millennials. Watch Abbi when the scrape-by still looks like a punchline and a love story. The plot can wait. The loyalty cannot. That is the show, and that is her.

Call Broad City the Comedy Central 2014–2019 contract. Abbi Abrams is the assignment on the work order. s05e10 is a useful mid-run tab — Broad City titles the last hour as the name on the door — loyalty outrunning plot, female picaresque filing the city. The handshake remains s01e01: What a Wonderful World is Abbi and Ilana, weed and hustle: web-series energy on Comedy Central, millennial buddy volume up. That is the gossip: Abbi Abrams as work, Broad City as the room.
