Alan Cumming

The Good Wife proved broadcast could still do adult serial: Alicia back at law, tailoring as armor, a scandal as the opening bet. Cumming’s Eli Gold is the operative in that firm-and-campaign weather — Diane, Kalinda, cases as the hook, power as the real sport. He plays the fixer as entertainment and a threat. Watch it as 2000s CBS craft that treated politics like a knife drawer.

The desk files The Good Wife under CBS 2009–2016. Eli Gold is the temperature Cumming brought to the room. s01e01 is the door — Pilot sends Alicia Florrick back to law after a public sex scandal: cases as weekly hook, Diane, Kalinda, and Eli as the real contact sport. s07e22 keeps the climate: End is the one-word closer broadcast drama earned — adult serialization on CBS, good tailoring as armor, the scandal long since just the spark. The desk does not need a trailer beat. Cumming's place in the room is the point.

The weekly case is bait; Eli is the long game. On TV Flash Cumming is catalog voltage in a perfect coat. Stay for the grin that is already a strategy. Serialized drama on a network clock. He made a political animal photograph as a lead even when the title belonged to someone else, which is the point of this particular back room and why the hour still feels grown.

Cumming's Eli Gold lives on The Good Wife — CBS from 2009–2016, 2000s weather still attached. File s01e01 as ignition: Pilot sends Alicia Florrick back to law after a public sex scandal: cases as weekly hook, Diane, Kalinda, and Eli as the real contact sport. s02e01 is later weather: Taking Control reopens year two on a power-verb title: the firm as chessboard, serialized adult TV still wearing procedural clothes. TV Flash files Cumming here as craft you can actually cue.
