Bill Bixby

Bill Bixby plays Tim O’Hara on My Favorite Martian, the 1960s catalog reporter who rooms with Ray Walston’s Uncle Martin and his antennae. Levitation gags, invisibility bits, space before Trek made it solemn: Bixby is the human temperature. He makes high-concept sitcom feel like a job with a secret in the spare room.

My Favorite Martian (CBS, 1963–1966) is where Bill Bixby first earns this card as Tim O'Hara. The desk’s door hour is s01e01: My Favorite Martin is the crash-land contract: Ray Walston's Uncle Martin, Bill Bixby's reporter house, antennae as the weekly tell. Bixby is already the temperature, not a visitor waiting on a later credit.

The Incredible Hulk sent the same face down a CBS Marvel road — Banner hunting a cure, Lou Ferrigno’s smash, credits as a hitchhike. On TV Flash Bixby is 1960s/1970s craft — Tim as the named straight man, tragic-fugitive weather as the encore, still the reason you should not make him angry.

The Incredible Hulk (CBS, 1977–1982) recasts Bixby as Dr. David Banner without asking the first title for permission. Start that title at s01e01 — The Incredible Hulk opens the tragic road. Bixby hunts a cure; Ferrigno does the misunderstood smash. No quip army — CBS Marvel as lonely piano. Bixby does not visit this floor; he works it. s01e36 on My Favorite Martian remains a useful hour: A Nose for News — first-season closer energy, invisibility and levitation gags still doing the roommate work. s02e01 on The Incredible Hulk remains a useful hour: Married is the title daring a domestic pause on a road show. Don't-make-him-angry still the physics; the hour arguing that the Hulk's tragedy is.
