Damon Wayans Jr.

Damon Wayans Jr. occupies New Girl as Coach, the loft roommate inside a hangout comedy that ran on chemistry instead of high concept. Zooey Deschanel’s Jess, Nick’s bartender mutter, Schmidt’s peacocking — Wayans is early-season voltage, a Coach who makes the apartment feel like a team before the Thursday ritual fully hardens.

The 2011–2018 window is the assignment. New Girl on Fox still photographs as that run. played Coach on New Girl — loft hangout comedy at its stickiest, a roommate in Zooey Deschanel’s adorkable engine before the Thursday ritual fully set. Damon does not decorate the hour. Coach is the job.

TV Flash files him first through s01e01. The pilot is loft hangout chemistry: Deschanel, Nick's mutter, Schmidt's peacocking, Winston's side quests on a Fox Thursday. s07e08 keeps the temperature. Engram Pattersky names the loft's last password — friend-com slow burns actually landing, not streaming leftover. Use s02e01 as a later pin on New Girl, not as homework.

Friend-com comfort still streams like a warm night; Coach is part of the original temperature. On TV Flash Wayans is 2010s ensemble craft: the roommate who photographs as a cameo in memory and plays as a founding laugh, the reason the loft had a playbook before the catchphrases calcified. The argument is the hour he actually played: Coach on New Girl, 2011–2018, Fox. New Girl still needs Coach to look like a job, not a footnote. Damon remains legible in a single sitting if you give him a real hour. The Fox years are the file; no borrowed biography required.
