David Groh

David Groh plays Joe Gerard on Rhoda, the husband inside Valerie Harper’s MTM spin-off that took Mary’s best friend home to New York. America watched the wedding; the series then let the marriage fall apart on network air. Groh is the Joe in that dare — Ida, Brenda, sharper neurotic edges, single-woman comedy that risked a real “I don’t.”.

Rhoda is a CBS hour from 1974–1978, and the catalog still argues in that grammar. MTM spin-off with Ida, Brenda, sharper neurotic edges. David Groh as Joe Gerard is position, not trivia.

TV Flash files him first through s01e01. Joe opens the MTM spin-off in New York. Harper takes Mary's best friend home; Ida and Brenda already sharpen the neurotic edge the Minneapolis hour could not fully use. s01e08 keeps the temperature. Rhoda's Wedding (1) is the event America watched. Single-woman comedy staging a network ceremony as appointment television — the 'I do' the later seasons would have to answer. Use s03e01 as a later pin on Rhoda, not as homework.

The wedding is the clip; the unraveling is the craft. On TV Flash Groh is 1970s sitcom voltage: Gerard as the reason a spin-off photographs as a life, not a bridesmaid souvenir from the mother show. The argument is the hour he actually played: Joe Gerard on Rhoda, 1974–1978, CBS. The CBS years are the file; no borrowed biography required. His temperature is why a rewatch still has a hole without him. The magazine keeps the credit honest: Joe Gerard on Rhoda, 1974–1978.
