Desmin Borges

Desmin Borges plays Edgar Quintero on You’re the Worst, the ensemble expansion around two terrible people trying something like love while the jokes stay mean and the landings go soft. Aya Cash’s depression season remains the sitcom craft people still cite; Edgar’s PTSD arc is the other reason the hour grew up. Borges is anti-rom-com honesty — a Quintero who makes cynicism share a couch with care.

Keep You're the Worst on the FX/FXX shelf under 2014–2019. Anti-rom-com honesty for cynics. What Desmin Borges brings is Edgar Quintero as a weekly temperature the reruns cannot sand off.

If you want the contract, s01e01 is the door. The pilot is two terrible people and mean jokes: FX/FXX anti-rom-com refusing the makeover from the first date. Skip ahead to s05e13 when you need the job with weight on it. Pancakes is a five-season soft landing — the jokes stayed mean, the landings went soft, breakfast as the closer's joke. Desmin still reads as Edgar Quintero there, which is the point.

A romance that refuses the makeover still needed a friend who hurt in a different key. On TV Flash Borges is 2010s comedy-drama craft: Edgar as the reason the series photographs as a group, not a mean two-shot. Keep him on You're the Worst seating chart as Edgar Quintero — 2014–2019, FX/FXX. The magazine keeps the credit honest: Edgar Quintero on You're the Worst, 2014–2019. You're the Worst still needs Edgar Quintero to look like a job, not a footnote. Desmin remains legible in a single sitting if you give him a real hour.
