Freddy Carter

Freddy Carter plays Kaz Brekker on Shadow and Bone, the 2020s Netflix Grishaverse fantasy that braided a sun summoner's destiny with Six of Crows heist energy. BookTok-adjacent, then canceled into grief and spinoff hunger. Carter's Kaz is crow-boss voltage — a face that makes YA destiny look like a job with a limp and a ledger. Two seasons that still feel like the Crows stealing every episode they enter.

Freddy Carter supplies the industrial brief — Shadow and Bone, Netflix, 2021–2023 — as Kaz Brekker. An orphan discovers world-changing power as thieves plot against a dark force — Grishaverse YA, sun summoner braided with Six of Crows heist energy. That ensemble presence is what a logo could not fake.

s01e01 remains Freddy Carter's honest open: A Searing Burst of Light as the BookTok-adjacent door: sun-summoner destiny, Six of Crows energy already stealing the hour, Netflix YA expanding on purpose. s02e08 is the series fluent (No Funerals as the two-season close: canceled into grief and spinoff hunger, Crows still the reason the desk keeps the title, still heist inside destiny). s02e01 is the later weather people file when they mean Kaz Brekker — No Shelter But Me as season-two launch: the titled refuge, still Grishaverse braid, still the Crows taking every scene they enter.

TV Flash keeps Brekker in the 2020s file because the heist was the heat. We file Carter as catalog craft: Kaz as the reason a canceled fantasy still photographs as a crew, not a prophecy. Freddy Carter is still how Shadow and Bone looks when the concept has to become a person.
