Katey Sagal

Katey Sagal plays Peggy Bundy on Married… with Children, the 1980s catalog wife who treats Al’s couch misery as a lifestyle brand. Shoes, insults, NO MA’AM energy: she made Fox’s anti-wholesome sitcom a two-person sport. Sagal is not décor in a housecoat; she is the joke’s other half, leopard print as policy.

On Fox, Married. with Children is not a cameo pit stop for Katey Sagal. The 1987–1997 run is long enough to prove the job is weekly. Begin at s01e01: The Pilot is the Bundy contract: O'Neill's comic misery, Sagal, Applegate, Faustino — Fox finding a personality by sneering at the hearth. Then let s01e07: Married. Without Children is early-run title as thesis: gleeful dysfunction, shoes, insults, already the anti-Cosby on a baby network. Sagal stays in the shot like she has a Tuesday.

Futurama asked her voice for Leela’s one-eyed competence under Groening’s sad-note sci-fi. Sons of Anarchy recast her as Gemma in Kurt Sutter’s Hamlet-with-Harleys. On TV Flash Sagal is 1980s-to-2000s craft that refused to stay a punchline — Peggy as the lede, animation and outlaw soap as proof the timing was always dangerous.

Katey Sagal’s next letterhead is Futurama — Fox weather as Leela. Start that title at s01e01 — Space Pilot 3000: frozen delivery boy, a thousand years later, nerd-precision already finding the sad note under the gag. Sagal does not visit this floor; she works it.

Keep Sons of Anarchy attached so Katey Sagal does not look like a single pose. Start that title at s01e01 — Pilot puts Jax Teller on the club his father built: Kurt Sutter's FX Hamlet, Charlie Hunnam and Katey Sagal already in a blood ledger. Sagal does not visit this floor; she works it. Three climates, one last name: the desk keeps Sagal as range.
