Lassie

Lassie plays Lassie on Lassie, which is the whole point: a collie as the constant while humans rotate. Loyalty as a weekly serial, Jeff then Timmy, family adventure that treated a bark as a rescue plan. Watch it now as the animal-star franchise that defined a form across two decades — training lore, collie succession, a brand that still photographs as a dog.

Ground Lassie in the 1954–1973 CBS run of Lassie. Lassie does the work. The collie is the constant while humans rotate — a bark as a plot engine, a lead on four legs. Begin with s01e01. Inheritance opens the collie franchise: loyalty as weekly serial, a branded bark already outranking the humans on the call sheet.

The later hour is s05e01. The Storm: mid-1950s season ignition on a title that is the animal-star franchise in one word — weather, rescue, bark. s06e01 is the desk's start for Lassie. The New Refrigerator — domestic landmark hour as the cast revolves around the collie, farm-kitchen adventure as brand maintenance. That is the map. Lassie does not ask Lassie to glitter.

Most sitcom dads wish they had this close-up. On TV Flash Lassie is 1950s catalog heat. We file the collie with the hours that treated an animal as a lead and a farm as a stage where the human cast could change without the star barking off. Lassie keeps Lassie specific so the CBS run still has a pulse. CBS (1954–1973) remains the assignment; Lassie is the human checkpoint. Start for the contract, stay for Lassie underneath it.
