Mark Goddard

Mark Goddard plays Maj. Don West on Lost in Space, the pilot in Irwin Allen’s space-opera tumble: Robinson family, a stowaway villain, a clanking robot. Guy Williams and June Lockhart headed the mission; Jonathan Harris’s Dr. Smith stole it with glorious cowardice. Goddard is the hothead weather — start straighter, stay for the camp. A military man in a serial that kept trading science for peril. Danger, Will Robinson. West is the escort.

Lost in Space sits on CBS from 1965–1968. Mark Goddard as Maj. Don West is the reason a catalog pass does not feel empty. s01e01 is the door the brief already marked. The Reluctant Stowaway is the mission contract: Robinson family, stowaway villain, clanking robot — start straighter than the later camp. Goddard on Lost in Space remains catalog craft on CBS from 1965–1968.

Goddard does the close-up work ensemble television lives on. Maj. Don West is that face. Rewatchers who arrive late can land on s01e08 and still catch the stance. Invaders from the Fifth Dimension — early Allen danger still playing space opera, before the catchphrase ate the hour. s02e01 is the later check. Blast Off Into Space opens the color years: Guy Williams and June Lockhart still heading a mission Jonathan Harris keeps stealing. Goddard holds.

Family sci-fi as a weekly cliff. Don photographs as the jaw and plays as loyalty with a temper. On TV Flash Goddard is 1960s catalog steel: the major who made a lost-family adventure feel crewed, then left the robot and the coward looking like they still needed a pilot who would argue with the plot.
