Michaela Dietz

Michaela Dietz voices Amethyst on Steven Universe, Rebecca Sugar’s 2010s hour where a half-gem boy and alien guardians treat empathy as a superpower. Fusion, trauma, songs that carry plot, kindness as strategy. Dietz’s Amethyst is the messy guardian weather: loud, funny, a voice that keeps the lore from becoming a hymn. Landmark queer-friendly kids’ animation that executives underestimated.
