Sorrell Booke

Sorrell Booke plays Boss Hogg on The Dukes of Hazzard, the white-suited comic tyrant of a county where Bo and Luke outrun the law while Daisy shorts and Uncle Jesse sermons keep the brand humming. An orange Charger named General Lee does more acting than half the guest stars. Booke makes the villainy a vaudeville — greed as slapstick, authority as a gag the hour never stops believing.

CBS did not need a logo. The Dukes of Hazzard needed Boss Hogg. Sorrell Booke is the reason that sentence has a body — s01e01, One Armed Bandits opens Hazzard County. The orange Charger already does more acting than half. Sorrell keeps the 1970s hour from going clip-farm. 1979–1985 on CBS is just the stamp. The Dukes of Hazzard does not replace Booke with a different product at s03e01. Carnival of Thrills (1) is stunt-show Hazzard as a season open. Spectacle admitting it. He is still Boss Hogg.

The turn in this pack is s02e06. The Ghost of General Lee is the car as folklore. Merchandising as storytelling. Hold s03e01 if you like a second coordinate — Carnival of Thrills (1) is stunt-show Hazzard as a season open. Spectacle admitting it. The Dukes of Hazzard still asks him to be Boss Hogg. s02e06 is the listed turn: The Ghost of General Lee is the car as folklore. Merchandising as storytelling. Sorrell does not become a different product when the codes move.

Merchandising as storytelling, plus a recast rebellion that proved the car signed the real contract. On TV Flash he is 1970s action-comedy craft: the Boss who photographs as a cartoon and plays as the reason Hazzard still has a plot besides the jump.
