Taraji P. Henson

Taraji P. Henson plays Cookie Lyon on Empire, the entrance that made a hip-hop dynasty soap feel like event television. Lucious's crown fight, songs that were plot not wallpaper, boardroom knives and chart synergy. Henson makes Cookie a climate — not a supporting parent, a Lyon who treats the company as a family argument she intends to win in public. Mid-decade appointment heat. A ratings needle that actually moved.

Taraji P. Henson works Empire on Fox (2015–2020) as Cookie Lyon — co-lead voltage, not a guest in her own story. s01e01 is the door: The pilot is a hip-hop dynasty soap that moved the needle: Lucious's crown, Cookie's entrance. Hip-hop dynasty soap as event television, a crown fight with songs. The hour uses her; it does not park her. Fox kept Empire on the board from 2015–2020; Taraji is why Cookie Lyon still reads as a person instead of a logo. Keep Taraji on-screen at s06e18. Home Is on the Way closes six seasons - boardroom knives and chart synergy. Cookie Lyon is not a guest week; 2015–2020 is only the stamp.

Fox already taught the living room Cookie Lyon. s06e18 is where that lesson tightens: Home Is on the Way closes six seasons - boardroom knives and chart synergy. s02e01 — The Devils Are Here is the ratings-hangover title: Cookie still the event, songs still. Empire keeps asking her to be Cookie Lyon at s06e18. That is the turn, not a recap.

On TV Flash she is 2010s primetime craft: the Cookie who photographs as a drop and plays as the reason the dynasty still has a mother the crown cannot outtalk.
