Zach Callison

Zach Callison voices Steven Universe on Steven Universe, Rebecca Sugar’s 2010s half-gem boy and alien-guardian hour that treats empathy as a superpower: fusion, trauma, songs that carry plot, kindness as strategy. Landmark queer-friendly kids’ animation that executives underestimated. Musical lore denseness and emotional literacy — children’s television as a novel you could hum. Callison is the boy in that novel: warmth, a voice that makes the gem war feel like a home.

Steven Universe — Cartoon Network, 2013–2019 — is the 2010s hour this page is for. A half-gem boy and alien guardians protect Earth while unpacking trauma, identity, and love. Steven Universe is Callison's job here. He keeps the seating chart from looking like merch, and 2013–2019 is the proof the hour kept hiring him.

Gem Glow is half-gem boy and alien guardians: Sugar treating empathy as a superpower, songs carrying plot on Cartoon Network. That is s01e01, still behaving like a contract. s02e01 proves it survived opening night: Say Uncle keeps the musical as the plot engine — empathy still the power set, even on an odd-hour title. s05e28 is the later hour — Change Your Mind is the landmark close: fusion, trauma, kindness as strategy, queer-friendly kids' animation executives underestimated. Zach Callison as Steven Universe is why those numbers still have a face.

The songs are the plot; he is the heart. On TV Flash Callison is 2010s voice-cast steel: not a mascot in a star shirt, a lead who made the lore feel like a person. Watch the fusions. Steven is why the hour still photographs as care with a mythology.
