ABC Signature

ABC Signature is Wisteria Lane, a Pacific island, and four women sharing a Miami kitchen. Desperate Housewives, Lost, and The Golden Girls headline the TV Flash hub, with Felicity, Home Improvement, How to Get Away with Murder, Sports Night, Ugly Betty, and Monk in the stack — mystery-box drama, tool-time sitcom, and a murder class that will not stay in the classroom.

9 shows in the TV Flash catalog · Wikipedia

The island is the dare: Lost turned a plane crash into appointment mythology. Wisteria Lane is the other kind of mystery box — Desperate Housewives as suburbia with a body under the lawn. The Golden Girls made four women, cheesecake, and Miami moonlight into a sitcom that still hosts the afterparty.

Around that triangle: Felicity followed a boy to college and took a nation's haircut with her. Home Improvement is Tool Time testosterone with Patricia Richardson as ballast. Sports Night is the newsroom as screwball. Ugly Betty puts braces in a fashion closet. How to Get Away with Murder is Annalise Keating's class burying a body. Monk's rituals travel here too — the detective as comfort object.

What does the ABC Signature catalog feel like?

Network event television with a gossip aftertaste: island mythology, cul-de-sac knives, Miami one-liners, a dorm-room yearning, and a law professor who treats a murder board like a syllabus. Comfort and cliffhangers on the same lot.
