Underground Muppet musical utopia — HBO's early kids prestige.

The Jim Henson Company Los Angeles
The Jim Henson Company Los Angeles is an underground musical and a vaudeville catastrophe in felt. Fraggle Rock and The Muppet Show share the TV Flash hub — Fraggles, Doozers, and Gorgs arguing about sharing a world, plus Kermit keeping a variety hour on the rails while Miss Piggy karate-chops her way to diva status.
The Muppet Show is Kermit trying to keep a vaudeville catastrophe on the rails while Miss Piggy karate-chops her way to diva status. Jim Henson's UK-made syndication hit put A-list guests in felt chaos and revived variety for mixed-age living rooms. Songs, balcony hecklers, a frog under stress. The guest is the bait; the backstage is the show.
Fraggle Rock is the underground musical: Fraggles, Doozers, Gorgs, and a human inventor in a workshop, all arguing about sharing the same world. Early kids prestige, built as an international co-production that preached harmony without preaching. Catchy, strange, gentler satire in a cave. Two Henson hours: a theater that cannot behave, and a cave that cannot stop singing.
