American Crime Story
True-crime anthology as prestige time machine — O.J. first, then Versace and beyond.

Touchstone Television
Touchstone Television is a suburban street with a body under it, a true-crime anthology, and a forger in a fedora. Desperate Housewives headlines the TV Flash hub with American Crime Story and White Collar — cul-de-sac mystery-box soap, courtroom history as binge argument, and stylish USA crime where the friendship does more plotting than the paintings.
Desperate Housewives is Wisteria Lane as a weekly confession: suburbia, secrets, a narrator who knows where the body is. American Crime Story is the prestige time machine — The People v. O. J. Simpson first, then Versace, then Impeachment — courtroom history you argue about after the credits. Two kinds of mystery: the lawn and the docket.
White Collar is the smoother crime. A charming forger in a fedora works off his sentence beside a square FBI handler, and the friendship does more plotting than the paintings. Matt Bomer polish, Mozzie as chorus, Manhattan as a long con's playground. The Touchstone page is soapy dread, anthology heat, and a con man who photographs like a magazine spread.
