Rick and Morty
Interdimensional grandpa nihilism — pickles, fan theories, and sauce riots.
Production studio
Williams Street
Williams Street is a drunk genius dragging his grandson across universes and a retired superhero hosting a talk show. Rick and Morty and Space Ghost Coast to Coast share the TV Flash hub — portal memes and season-gap rage, plus Zorak's contempt and dead air that treated late-night as performance art. Adult Swim attitude as a production address.
Rick and Morty is drunk genius Rick dragging anxious Morty across multiverses of cosmic jokes and trauma. Harmon and Roiland's Adult Swim series made Szechuan sauce, portal memes, and season-gap rage into industrial fandom. Dense sci-fi premises, dark humor, later recasting after Roiland's exit. Peak cable animation as a personality cult.
Space Ghost Coast to Coast is the ancestor in a cape: a retired superhero hosts a talk show and interviews real celebrities like nobody briefed him. Zorak's contempt, dead air, banter that treats late-night as performance art. Cartoon parody that invented a network attitude — hostile, cheap, brilliant. Two Williams Street hours: a portal gun and a talk-show desk that wants you uncomfortable.
