Tricia
Mary Catherine Garrison
Mary Catherine Garrison kept Kansas complicated as Tricia on Somebody Somewhere — Bridget Everett’s grief-and-karaoke miracle, found family in a town that is not a punchline, HBO’s quietest great comedy, canceled before it should have been. Small-town kindness without Hallmark glaze. TV Flash files her as 2020s ensemble ache: the sister weather that makes the songs expensive.
Mary Catherine Garrison plays Tricia on Somebody Somewhere, sister-shaped weather in Bridget Everett’s Kansas miracle: grief, karaoke, and found family in a town that is not a punchline. HBO’s quietest great comedy, canceled before it should have been, which is now part of the ache. Garrison is why the kindness has an edge — small-town love without the Hallmark glaze, a relative who makes the lead’s songs expensive. A face for the family that stayed.
Somebody Somewhere occupied real years: on HBO from 2022–2024. Tricia is Garrison's beat. s01e01 still opens clean. BFD as the Kansas contract: Bridget Everett's grief and karaoke, a town that is not a punchline, HBO's quietest great comedy already the ache. No origin-story hangover required. Garrison on Somebody Somewhere remains catalog craft on HBO from 2022–2024.
Tricia is Garrison's share of the hour's gravity, whether the poster admits the split or not. The hour that still clicks is s03e07. Agg as the complete-run close: cancellation now part of the hurt, still found family, still small-town craft that never needed a coastal wink. s02e01 is the later check. NNP as season-two launch: initials as title, still karaoke physics, still Everett proving quiet comedy could be the network's best hour. That is how Somebody Somewhere keeps Tricia from flattening into a still.
Quiet comedy as a bruise. Tricia photographs as the sibling and plays as the show’s unfinished business. On TV Flash Garrison is 2020s catalog craft: the Tricia who made a canceled gem feel like a household, then left the karaoke looking like it still had a sister in the room who would not fake the harmony.
