Ted Lange

Ted Lange plays Isaac Washington on The Love Boat, the bartender who keeps the Pacific Princess meddling while three guest-star storylines dock each week. Captain Stubing hosts; Julie, Doc, Gopher, and Isaac supply the crew weather. Lange makes Isaac a comic government — not scenery in a white jacket, a Washington who treats the cruise as a neighborhood. Spelling anthology as comfort franchise: formula as feature, theme as furniture.

Ted's The Love Boat run is 1977–1986 of Isaac Washington as ensemble weather the hour cannot skip. ABC kept the appointment. s01e01 still works: The Captain and the Lady / One if By Land / Centerfold is the Spelling. He is 1970s craft on ABC: Isaac Washington as weekly weather, s01e01 as the door. Keep Ted on-screen at s03e01. Alaska Wedding Cruise is destination as event television. Three storylines still the cargo. Isaac Washington is not a guest week; 1977–1986 is only the stamp.

Lange's turn is not a plot dump; it is s03e01. Alaska Wedding Cruise is destination as event television. Three storylines still the cargo. s06e01 stays on the card because the job continues. Venetian Love Song / The Arrangement / Arrividerci, Gopher is mid-run franchise weather. He stays Isaac Washington while The Love Boat changes keys. s03e01 is the proof. The Love Boat does not replace Lange with a different product at s06e01. Venetian Love Song / The Arrangement / Arrividerci, Gopher is mid-run franchise weather. He is still Isaac Washington.

Bon voyage, subtlety. On TV Flash he is 1970s craft: the Isaac who photographs as a pour and plays as the reason the cameo still has a bar to lean on.
