Wendy Schaal

Wendy Schaal plays Julie on Fantasy Island, the 1970s Aaron Spelling anthology where Ricardo Montalbán’s Mr. Roarke grants wishes that teach lessons, sometimes with teeth, while Hervé Villechaize’s Tattoo spots the plane. Love Boat’s mystical sibling: guest-star morality plays in a white suit. Smiles, everyone — consequences included. Schaal is later-run island weather, the assistant who makes the fantasy have a front desk.

Fantasy Island — ABC, 1977–1984 — is the 1970s hour this page is for. Smiles, everyone. Julie is Schaal's job here. She keeps the seating chart from looking like merch, and 1977–1984 is the proof the hour kept hiring her.

The pilot opens Spelling's mystical sibling to The Love Boat. Montalbán already grants wishes that teach; Villechaize spots the plane. White-suit morality, consequences included. That is s01e01, still behaving like a contract. s04e01 proves it survived opening night: The Devil and Mandy Breem / Instant Millionaire is Roarke adjacent to damnation and cash. Anthology as weekend hobby: the white suit still the sharpest costume in guest-star television. s01e06 is the later hour — Family Reunion / Voodoo is the double-bill as occult-chic comfort. Guest-star lessons with teeth: smiles, everyone — the island still a wish factory that bills in irony. Wendy Schaal as Julie is why those numbers still have a face.

The plane is the brand; she is the staff. On TV Flash Schaal is 1970s ensemble craft: not a cameo in a white suit, a regular who made the island feel like a workplace. Watch the landing. Julie is why the wish still photographs as a check-in.
