How this season is filed

Filed by Vivian Cross · The Carpet Report

Yellowstone origin as a misery wagon: immigrants, Civil War ghosts, and a trail that does not care about your brand. Sam Elliott's gravitas and a limited-series ending give Sheridan's universe a funeral it actually earned. Watch for western beauty that refuses comfort, and for prequel event television that did not need Costner to hurt.
