How this season is filed
Pamela Adlon's half-hours of raising three daughters on an actor's paycheck: vignettes of care, rage, and L.A. logistics with no sitcom gloss. After the co-credit exit, it became her auteur show. Intimate prestige comedy — motherhood as lived-in art film, handmade and allergic to punchline-of-the-week.
