How this season is filed

Filed by Vivian Cross · The Carpet Report

The Marshalls fall into a pocket universe of dinosaurs, Pylons, and Sleestak nightmares that still live in Saturday-morning trauma. Kids' sci-fi with linguists and writers who treated the weird as serious world-building. Foam-and-miniature craft, ambitious for cereal hour, and still stranger than the later joke remake.

TV Flash files Season 2 of Land of the Lost (1974–1976) on NBC as a mid listed season (2; 2 of 3) — 13 listed hours, 1975-09-06–1975-11-29 from “Tar Pit” (S02E01) to “Blackout” (S02E13). Titles, dates, and synopses on file — no invented recaps.

Desk essentials in this season

  1. S02E01 Tar Pit

Tar Pit is a season-open named as a trap. Creature-hour geography: Saturday-morning sci-fi still handmade, still ambitious, still a family serial rather than a toy commercial with jokes.

  2. S02E12 Split Personality

Split Personality is mid-run identity weather. Krofft craft using a psych title on a dinosaur show: cereal-hour ambition, still stranger than the merch would later pretend.
