Mister Rogers' Neighborhood is still the rare kids' series that treats a child's inner weather as the whole assignment. Fred Rogers speaks slowly, names feelings, and never hustles the camera. Watch it for the ethics of address — sneakers, trolley, Neighborhood of Make-Believe — and for proof that gentleness can be rigorous television, not a commercial afterthought.
