How this season is filed
Newhart's second masterpiece of timing: a Vermont inn, Mary Frann, Tom Poston, and Hi, I'm Larry; this is my brother Darryl; this is my other brother Darryl. Small-town ensemble comedy at refined volume, distinct from the psychologist sitcom. Plus a finale you want spoiled only by watching it — still the gold-standard series-closer stunt.
TV Flash files Season 2 of Newhart (1982–1990) on CBS as a mid listed season (2; 2 of 8) — 22 listed hours, 1983-10-17–1984-04-16 from “It Happened One Afternoon (1)” (S02E01) to “New Faces of 1951” (S02E22). Titles, dates, and synopses on file — no invented recaps.
