Dr. Armstrong appears to have made a mistake when she tells Dr. Craig that another doctor is inserting pacemakers and receiving kickbacks. Roommates Dr. Ehrlich and Dr. Fiscus resemble the odd couple as their feud threatens their futures.

Walt Schaefer's brother is near death and in agony; Walt wants to let him die but the hospital administration will not allow it. Dr. Westphall has trouble convincing Walt that he cannot grant the wish for a peaceful death. Dr. Ehrlich sends roommate Dr. Fiscus as a replacement on a date with Nurse Daniels. Here's an episode in which everyone seems to be beating their heads against a brick wall.
