How this season is filed

Filed by Tessa Quinn · Spoiler-Free (Mostly)

Brad Ingelsby back in Pennsylvania: Mark Ruffalo's grieving FBI man and Tom Pelphrey's thief on a Delco collision course. Softer, sharper noir than Mare of Easttown, with accent watchdogs already posted in the comments. Watch for working-class crime that loves the county more than the twist, and for two performances that refuse to blink first.

TV Flash files Season 1 of Task (2025) on HBO as the only listed season — 7 listed hours, 2025-09-07–2025-10-19 from “Crossings” (S01E01) to “A Still Small Voice” (S01E07). Titles, dates, and synopses on file — no invented recaps.

Desk essentials in this season

  1. S01E01 Crossings

Crossings as the Pennsylvania contract: Brad Ingelsby again, Mark Ruffalo's grieving FBI man, Tom Pelphrey's thief, accent watchdogs already in the comments.

  2. S01E07 A Still Small Voice

A Still Small Voice as the seven-episode close: Delco collision completed, softer sharper noir than Mare of Easttown, still place as character.

  3. S01E02 Family Statements

Family Statements as the second-hour paperwork: grief as form, still a collision course, still Ingelsby treating accent as craft not a stunt.

  4. S01E03 Nobody's Stronger Than Forgiveness

Nobody's Stronger Than Forgiveness as the titled dare: the hour's thesis on a card, still thief versus federal grief, still not a Mare photocopy.

  5. S01E04 All Roads

All Roads as the mid-run map: Delco geography as plot, still Ruffalo and Pelphrey, still noir that wants the comment section to argue the vowels.
