How this season is filed

The Ernie Kovacs Show treats the camera as a toybox, not a stage relay: visual gags, blackouts, the Nairobi Trio, comedy inventing the medium. Formal innovator frozen by an early death as television's perpetual what-if genius. A 2026 viewer watches the ancestor of every video-native joke — before going viral needed a platform.
