How this season is filed
One wrong ride, then the system: Riz Ahmed's Naz, John Turturro's Stone, Michael K. Williams' Freddy, prison as a machine that grinds. HBO limited crime with no easy outs. Due process as horror story — procedural detail as tragedy, and the limited-series boom at its bleak, patient best.
