How this season is filed

Filed by Max Sterling · Streaming Confidential

Tom and Dick Smothers smuggled counterculture onto CBS with folk-comedy smiles until Standards & Practices ended the party. Music guests, political satire, and sibling banter — variety as generational argument. Watch it for the moment network television picked a fight with the establishment and mostly lost, gloriously.
