How this season is filed

Filed by Julian Hart · The Binge Brief

Martin Lawrence playing a radio host, his neighbors, and half the building’s personality disorders. Fox counterprogramming as character comedy: Sheneneh, Jerome, and Tisha Campbell as the grown-up in the room. Clip-proof television — messy offscreen, airtight on the punchline, and the loudest argument for star vehicles that actually had a bench.

TV Flash files Season 1 of Martin (1992–1997) on Fox as the first listed season of 5 — 27 listed hours, 1992-08-27–1993-05-13 from “Beauty and the Beast” (S01E01) to “Checks, Lies, and Videotape” (S01E27). Titles, dates, and synopses on file — no invented recaps.
