How this season is filed

Filed by Lana Reyes · Red Carpet Reality

Sonny's bobblehead grin, Cher's Bob Mackie armor, and marital digs that stopped feeling like a bit. Variety as a couple brand, then a public divorce plot twist. The hour that made Cher a comedy and fashion force beyond radio, while the marriage imploded in prime time.

Desk essentials in this season

  1. S01E01 Show 1 - Series Premeire

Show 1 is the couple-brand open. Sonny's bobblehead grin, Cher's Mackie armor: variety as a marriage, the digs still billed as a bit, the hour already making Cher a comedy-and-fashion force.

  2. S01E14 Show 14

Show 14 is first-season variety muscle. Sibling-to-nobody, couple-to-franchise: the hour still sequins and putdowns, radio fame already smaller than the television marriage.
