Upon arriving in town, Bunny's older sister is both annoyed and curious as to why Bunny is so adamant about the picnic being called off. However, she soon learns the reason why is due to a plane crash that she has a connection to.

    While driving home from work one afternoon, an office manager named Oliver Pope accidentally hits a young child on a bike with his car. The following morning, as his wife reads the morning paper, it is reported that the child isn't expected to survive and a business rival of Oliver was arrested for the crime. Oliver then thinks he got away with the hit and run, but his car won't let him have the other man take the blame.

    Planning on writing an article about a famous actress, a cynical journalist is intrigued as to how she is able to stay so young. As their interview progresses, he soon discovers her secret includes an ancient Egyptian scarab and the help of not so willing strangers.

    A cab driver who is constantly fighting with his wife gets his tv set repaired and see's something happen that starts to drive him out of his mind.

    The Masks

    A dying man, not liked by his daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren, invites them for a visit while hosting a Mardi Gras party. Realizing how greedy they are, he makes a proposition to them: wear ugly masks during his party, and he'll leave them his fortune - no questions asked. However, after they meet his conditions, the heirs soon discover they are unable to remove their grotesque masks.

    On the morning when a man is set to be hung for killing a bigoted neighbor, the sun fails to rise. The local newspaperman in town take this as an omen, proving that an innocent man is about to pay for a crime he committed in self-defense, due to possible laziness on the part of the sheriff while investigating the murder, and the deputy perjuring himself at the trial.

    When Bob and Millie Frazier wake up in an unfamiliar bed, in an unfamiliar town after drinking too much at a party the previous night, they try to remember what happened between when they left the party to when they woke up. Things then get complicated when they hear a mysterious child laughing in the distance and ultimately discover that they are unable to leave.

    When a World War II veteran is cleaning out his attic, a Japanese American gardener comes by to inquire about having his lawn cut. The pair soon gets locked in the attic and have to come to terms with past prejudices that was brought to the forefront during that fateful time in history.

As a result, he goes down to a nearby bar to lament his reversal of fortune, only to find the foreman he laid off drinking away the same sorrows.
