How this season is filed

Filed by Rex Fontaine · Golden Age Dispatch

Chuck Norris as living-room sheriff: roundhouse kicks, moral lectures, and villains who never learned to duck. Martial-arts network pulp with total sincerity — the montages, the Texas dust, the justice that arrives on a boot. Comfort action that later became meme archaeology; the joke only works because the show believed every kick was a sermon.
