How this season is filed
Today invented waking up with television: Dave Garroway, a chimpanzee co-host, and the mix of news, weather, and chatter still fighting every weekday morning. A 2026 reader watches the original American morning-show contract — coffee, headlines, and the idea that a network should greet you before work.
TV Flash files Season 2020 of Today (1952–present) on NBC as a mid listed season (2020; 16 of 22) — 3 listed hours, 2020-01-01–2020-01-03 from “Happy New Year” (S2020E01) to “January 3, 2020” (S2020E03). Broadcast log — titles and dates, not a plot bible.
